September 20th membership meeting
Updates:
Empacher has officially signed on as the official awards sponsor of the IRCA - the official announcement on social media and row2k will be posted within the next few days.
All of the details that Will Bott shared regarding Stem to Stern’s fall fundraiser can be found on the DEI committee page.
Reminders:
Membership sign ups/renewals are open through October 21st. Programs renewing their memberships will receive an invoice from Kayleigh and new members can register here.
The IRCA Legislative Committee has put together a survey that asks for feedback on personnel and recruiting, with the goal of sharing the results with the IRA Stewards. The survey can be found here and on the Legislative Committee page and will be open through September 30th.
USRowing is asking for the IRCA’s participation in their Truclusion Survey. Questions or comments can be shared directly with Jennie Trayes, USRowing’s Chief Community Engagement Officer.
“The USRowing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee, with the help of a DEI consulting firm, Truclusion, is creating a strategic plan to help make the sport and organization more diverse, inclusive and sustainable. The first phase of the process is to gather feedback via a survey which will lay the foundation for the strategic plan. The DEI survey will examine drivers of retention (belonging, feeling valued), experiences of marginalized group members, as well as the perspectives of the traditional rowing community. This survey results will go straight to Truclusion and inform the DEI strategic plan which will also guide the overall USRowing strategic planning process.”
